Pastors & Staff

Justin Beesley

Lead Pastor

Pastor Justin first joined the staff in 1999, and was installed as Lead Pastor at HopeCity in 2016. Over these years, Justin’s steady leadership and genuine love for people have helped shape HopeCity into a community marked by grace,  love for people, and the desire to know Jesus more and share His hope throughout our community, city, and beyond.
As Lead Pastor, Justin's desire for the local church is to see hearts changed and lives restored - all by our King Jesus, and for His glory and Kingdom!
Justin and Paige were married in 2003,  and together they faithfully shepherd the HopeCity community. They have two sons, Simon and Jesse, who keep life full and fun. 

Paige Beesley

Executive & Directional Support

Paige has called HopeCity home for her entire life—literally. Her very first Sunday service was when she was just seven days old, and she’s never looked back. She began serving around the age of twelve, jumping in wherever she could, driven by a deep love for the local church.
Paige serves in a key leadership role as Executive and Directional Support, helping guide both the behind-the-scenes operations and the overall culture of HopeCity. Her passion is clear: seeing people meet Jesus, accept Him as their Saviour, and live in the abundant life He offers.

Dale Riley

Executive Pastor

Since beginning ministry in 1998, Dale has served in a variety of pastoral roles, and since 2016 has been part of the leadership team at HopeCity as Executive Pastor.  
Dale is passionate about building strong teams, cultivating spaces that allow people to grow in their personal faith, and helping the church thrive in its mission to reach people with the hope of Jesus.
He and the love of his life, Lisa, have been married since 2003, and are the proud parents of Jacob, Bella, and Maguire. Dale loves Jesus, loves his family, loves Jesus' Church, and considers it a privilege to serve at HopeCity every day.

Yvonne Wilkinson

Executive Director of Ministries & Operations

Yvonne began her role as HopeCity's Executive Director in Fall 2017, combining her strong leadership with a deep love for people. She loves Jesus and has a true gift for making everyone feel seen, welcomed, and valued the moment they walk through the doors.
With a heart for hospitality and a passion for the local church, Yvonne helps lead the day-to-day operations of HopeCity, ensuring that everything we do aligns with our mission and runs with excellence. From overseeing staff and ministry teams to helping shape the church’s vision and community outreach, she plays a vital role in creating a culture where people can encounter Jesus and grow in community.
Married to her husband Sean, Yvonne is also a proud mom to her two daughters, Jada and Mia.

Joseph Beesley

Support Pastor

Pastor Joseph Beesley stepped into full-time ministry in 1969, driven by a call to serve God and share His hope throughout the city. In 1996, he became the senior pastor of HopeCity, which was then known as Sunset Church. Under his leadership, the church grew in both vision and community impact, remaining rooted in its mission to share the gospel.
In 2017, Pastor Joe stepped into the role of Support Pastor after handing the baton of leadership to the next generation. Pastor Joe is known for his steady leadership, practical teaching, and genuine care for others. He and his wife, Colleen, have been married for many years and are the proud parents of four children and grandparents to thirteen grandchildren.

Kelly Dobson

Director of Family Ministries & Outreach

Kelly stepped into the role of Children's Pastor in 2013 and has since worked faithfully sharing the hope of Jesus with children in our church family, local community, and city.
Now, as the Director of Family Ministries & Outreach, Kelly leads our efforts to build bridges between the church and families in our community. Whether through Sunday services, family-focused discipleship, or local outreach initiatives, she brings vision, heart, and unparalleled energy to everything she does.
Together, Kelly and her husband Jon are raising two pretty awesome kids, Riley and Reed.

Khoury Fraser

Worship Pastor

Khoury has served as the Worship Pastor at HopeCity since 2022 and is passionate about helping people encounter Jesus through music and worship. With a unique background in both ministry and healthcare, he brings a deep compassion for people into every area of his leadership and service.
Whether leading a Sunday gathering, mentoring the worship team, or serving others in practical ways, Khoury’s heart is to create space for genuine connection with God and to steward faithfully what has been entrusted to him. He leads by example, knowing that worship is much more than a song—it is a posture of life surrendered to Jesus.
At home, Khoury enjoys spending time with his wife and baby daughter, Kinsley, cherishing the joy they bring to his life. 

Ryan Ranni

Young Adults Pastor

Ryan joined the HopeCity team in 2018 and now serves as our Young Adults Pastor. He’s passionate about Jesus, anchored in the hope of the Gospel, and fully committed to seeing THIS generation rise up with bold faith and unshakable purpose in Christ.
With a heart for young adults, Ryan wants to create spaces where real faith can grow, hard questions are welcome, and authentic Christ-centred community thrives. He lives for the moments when young adults encounter Jesus for themselves and step wholeheartedly into everything He has for them.
Ryan is married to the love of his life, Emma, and together they recently became parents to their precious daughter, Eden—the undisputed main character.

Shane Fraser

Youth Pastor


Shane stepped into the role of Youth Pastor in 2018 and has been passionately serving the next generation ever since. As Youth Pastor at HopeCity, he holds a deep desire to see students personally encounter Jesus and step into the fullness of who God has called them to be.
Shane is passionate about creating spaces for young people to experience prayer, encounter the Holy Spirit, and respond to Him — moments that will mark their lives forever. Shane believes that God is doing something significant in Gen Z and Gen Alpha, and he’s committed to being a voice that calls this generation to a life fully devoted to Jesus.
With a heart to see students discover their leadership giftings and find their place in the local church, Shane loves empowering youth to live bold, Spirit-filled lives on mission. He sees the journey with teenagers as a freedom-filled adventure.
Shane is married to the love of his life, Jess, and together they’re committed to building a life and ministry that points to the love and truth of Jesus.

MaryBeth  Wilson

Finance Administrator 

A homebody at heart, MaryBeth was a full-time Mum and part-time piano and music theory teacher while her children were young.  As the family grew, she operated a bookkeeping, accounting, and tax business for many years before joining HopeCity's staff as Financial Administrator in 2018. With a heart that reflects the love of Jesus, MaryBeth brings warmth, gentleness, and compassion to everything she does. In addition to her role as Finance Administrator, she also directs the Celebrate Recovery program at HopeCity, coming alongside those walking through healing and recovery, and helping to create a safe and grace-filled space where individuals can experience freedom, restoration, and the life-changing power of Christ.
MaryBeth married her first and only boyfriend, Peter, in 1988, and together they raised their three now-adult children: son Christian, and daughters Taylor and Danae.



Katie Hawkins

Marketing & Communications/Graphics Coordinator

Katie serves as the Communications and Marketing Coordinator at HopeCity, where her deep love for Jesus and creative passion come together to tell powerful stories of what God is doing in and through the church. With a professional photography background spanning over 16 years, Katie brings a unique eye for beauty, detail, and authenticity in everything she captures.
After spending years away in other provinces and cities, Katie has joyfully “come home” to HopeCity — a place that holds deep meaning in her faith and her life. She’s passionate about documenting life within the Church and capturing and sharing moments that reflect God’s presence, love, and movement among His people. Katie’s heart is to glorify Jesus and to use her work to point others to Him.
 Katie is married to her very best friend, Jamie, and together they’re raising their three Tiny Humans: Nya, Roman, and Zoe.  

Vada Bragdon

Guest Experience Coordinator 

After serving three summers as a HopeCity Summer Student, Vada stepped into the role of Guest Experience Coordinator in 2024. She is currently a fourth-year business student at the University of New Brunswick and brings both heart and leadership to everything she does.
Vada loves her church and feels blessed to have the opportunity to lead and grow the serving teams within the local church. She believes the Guest Experience Team plays a vital role in building meaningful connections and reaching those who may not yet know Jesus.
Whether she’s training new volunteers, greeting first-time guests, or encouraging others to serve with purpose, Vada's passion is to create a welcoming, Christ-centered environment. HopeCity is blessed to have her serving on our staff! 

Jonathan Piers

Tech & Livestream Coordinator

In 2024, Jonathan joined the team as our Tech & Livestream Coordinator, overseeing all aspects of sound, production, and online streaming.
Growing up in Ontario, Jonathan began serving in his local church at a young age—learning live sound, running tech, and developing a heart for ministry behind the scenes. After moving to New Brunswick in 2010, Jonathan continued to grow his skills through various roles both in and out of the church world. He and his family began attending HopeCity in the fall of 2023, and it wasn’t long before his heart and giftings found a home here.
Jonathan brings a lifelong love of church and a deep passion for production to his role at HopeCity, believing that quality production isn’t about performance, but about removing distractions so people can clearly hear the Gospel and experience the presence of God, whether they’re in the room or watching online.
Jonathan and his wife, Marquelle, have two very adorable children: daughter Harlen and son Asher.
