We adhere to and stand firmly within the historic truths as articulated in the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds.
The Bible
We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Holy Scriptures - that the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God. In them we find the final authority for all Christian faith and practices. (1 Timothy 3: 15-17; 2 Peter 1: 20 – 21; 1 Peter 1: 23 - 25)
God
We believe in the existence of one true God, who has revealed
himself to the world as the Father, as the Son, and as the Holy
Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6: 4; 1 Timothy 3: 16; Luke 3: 22)
Virgin Birth of Jesus
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God, truly
God and truly man, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit and
born of the Virgin Mary. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-14)
Fall of Man
We believe man was created in the image of God, as recorded
in Genesis, but fell into sin and is therefore unable to attain
divine righteousness and his condition is one of total depravity. (Romans 5:12; Romans 3:23)
Salvation through Grace
We believe in salvation by grace, through faith alone in the perfect and sufficient work of Christ on our behalf upon the cross of Calvary, excluding all human merit. (Romans 3:24; Ephesians 2:5,8; Galatians 2:16)
The Gospels
We believe the gospel of the grace of God, how that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again for our justification. (1 Corinthians 15: 1- 4)
Baptism
We believe water baptism by immersion in the name of our
Lord Jesus and that water baptism is a testimony of death to sin
and resurrection to a new life. (Matthew 28: 19; Acts 2: 38)
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who has been sent in this age to
glorify Jesus Christ, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell
believers, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly
living and service. (1 Thess. 4: 3, 1 John 2:29, Romans 8:5, Philippians 2:12,
Hebrews 12:14)
We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is for all believers as a definite endowment of power for service and is subsequent to, and separate from, salvation. (Joel 2: 28, Acts 2: 4)
We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is for all believers as a definite endowment of power for service and is subsequent to, and separate from, salvation. (Joel 2: 28, Acts 2: 4)
Communion
We believe in the ordinance of communion as commanded by
Christ, and that all true believers should share in this sacred
memorial service. (1 Corinthians 11: 23 - 26)
Return of Christ
We believe in the visible, personal, and glorious return of Jesus
Christ the “Blessed Hope” of the church. (Acts 1: 11, 1 Thessalonians 4: 13 - 18)
Bodily Resurrection
We believe there will be a bodily resurrection of all the dead, of
the believers to everlasting blessedness and the unbeliever to
eternal punishment. (1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18)
